Greetings From Headquarters!!

Greetings from Headquarters, Fellow Extravaganzers!!

Your trusty E-15 mascot Ma’am, the intrepid black lab, and I arrived here yesterday after a two-day 1,134.6-mile (but, who is counting?!?) sprint over the Nevada desert and up into Montana through Idaho. We arose early on both of our travel days and, as a result, yesterday morning were treated to the sun rising over the Continental Divide as we traversed our way out of the potato fields of Idaho into the stunning beauty of Montana. Every time that I do that drive, and that now has been over the course of the last thirteen years, my breath is literally taken away as I drive up and over the Divide into the hills and vales of our E-15 home state.

When I arrived I was pleased to find that, as witnessed above, our crack E-15 ground crew has this place 100% whipped into place—the inside has been reorganized for efficiency, the outside and decks of the building boast new coats of paint, and Eric The Landscaper has once again done his magic in turning the outside grounds into a park-like showboat.

And, as I will discuss further on a separate email with our first official Log-O-Meter report of the year, the waters around western Montana are in pristine condition. As I drove the last 60 miles of my journey yesterday, I was right aside the upper Clark Fork of the Columbia River and the water conditions were simply perfect. The water was a robust green (as opposed to the mocha brown color of typical runoff water) and its banks were plump with the rise of a modest runoff year, making me wonder why I was driving as opposed to fishing. The same was the case with the Big Hole and Beavertail Rivers as I drove through Dillon, MT—all waters are very fishable and just a-waiting for your arrivals just one short week from tomorrow—yikes!!!

I will update you more as our final pre-week begins tomorrow but wanted to dash this note off to “y’all” before I head into town to do a few last minute errands.

Bueno, bueno, bueno—let the good times again roll, gang!!

Best to all from the scene of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
