2015: The Year of the No-Flow

Check out the non-flow event this year, gang--not even late May temps in the
80's could generate a rise in the flow, telling me that from here on out,
for all intents and purposes, you can look to a steady but slowly declining
E-15 water flow which, folks, describes the fishing conditions this year as
"pristine"!!

Looking ahead at the forecast for the month (yes, folks, it is June 1st
today!) the long range forecast for E-15 (which, as you veterans know, is
not for the faint of heart as the weather in Montana is as fickle as a wired
house cat!) calls for temperatures for Group One in the mid-80's, for Group
Two in the low 80's and for Group Three in the mid to low 70's--absolutely
perfect giving the fact that we will be entering E-15 with modest water
levels and, unlike in most previous years (this is our thirteenth [count
'em!] event, after all) ambient temperatures will actually be declining as
the Extravaganza proceeds, not increasing.

We are REALLY close now, fellow Extravaganzers, as in 48 hours from now I
will be enroute driving to Headquarters and the Extravagant Ones will be
hitting the Missoula scene for Opening Day exactly one week...as in ONE
week...from this Saturday. And wowie, zowie do we have a show in store for
each of our three Groups--in fact, my good friend Fish, Wildlife and Parks
Director Jeff Hagener emailed me just this morning asking if he could bring
along with him one of his fish biologists to present to the Ones with him on
Monday, June 15th-- each year, this blessed event keeps getting bigger, and
bigger and bigger!!

Best to all in the early excitement of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
